So excited to share some highlights from last Thursday (20 November). What an energising day at The Cube for the official launch of the ARC Industrial Transformation Research Hub for Zero-Emission Power Generation for Carbon Neutrality (ZeroPC) at QUT!
It was fantastic to finally bring everyone together in person and see so many great conversations happening around the posters and lab tours. 🙌 🙌
Thank you to the ~80 researchers, students, industry partners, and government representatives who joined us to explore how thermoelectrics, solar technologies, green energy storage and CO₂ conversion can help deliver scalable zero-emission power solutions.
Special thanks to Professor Anika Gauja, from the Australian Research Council (ARC), for her speech; to Ms Madonna Jarrett MP, Member for Brisbane, for officially launching the ZeroPC Hub; and to QUT Vice-Chancellor Professor Margaret Sheil AO for her leadership and for hosting this launch at The Cube.
A huge thank you as well to our Hub Director Professor Zhigang Chen, for outlining an inspiring vision for the next four years, and to CEO Mr Paul Moonie from industry partner Halocell Energy for sharing his collaboration experience with Deputy Director Professor Hongxia Wang.
We are also deeply grateful to the MC Professor Jennifer MacLeod, our Hub Manager Dr Wanyu Lyu, and our amazing volunteers who worked behind the scenes to make this launch possible.
This is just the beginning. We look forward to working closely with our partners to co-create new projects and pathways that turn zero-emission power technologies into practical solutions.
