Two advisory boards will be convened counsel the Executive Team, and to ensure Hub activities focus on meeting the needs of Industry POs (Industry Advisory Board), while adhering to the highest standards of scientific excellence (International Scientific Advisory Committee). The Industry Advisory Board will include management-level ‘Hub champions’ from each of the industry POs, alongside representatives from NERA, ARENA, and other peak bodies. The International Scientific Committee will contain internationally- renowned scientific and academic representatives and will be chaired by QUT’s DVC (Research).

The Hub will be managed by an Executive team including the Hub Director Prof Zhi-Gang Chen (QUT), Deputy Director Hongxia Wang (QUT), and Node heads Prof Debra Bernhardt (UQ), Prof Dewei Chu (UNSW), Prof. Qin Li (GU), A/Prof. Zongyou Yin (ANU), and A/Prof. Haolan Xu (UniSA). A Hub Manager will be appointed to coordinate Hub operations. The Hub Manager is responsible for undertaking best-practices project management functions, including maintaining: a comprehensive project plan, a risk register, a Hub IP register, and a Hub data store.

The Hub manager will liaise closely with the executive team and project stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective communication and will perform the role of executive officer for the hub boards and committees. A face-to-face annual general meeting of all CIs and PIs will be held to maintain an overview of Hub activities and progress, and monthly teleconferences will facilitate progress on operational matters. Additional ad-hoc meetings and formal communications will be undertaken as necessary and will be facilitated by the Hub manager
