Professor Hongxia Wang from QUT has secured $748,746 for her project “Novel transparent electrodes for efficient bifacial perovskite solar cells.”

The research focuses on designing advanced transparent electrodes using a dielectric-metal-dielectric (DMD) structure to improve the efficiency and stability of semitransparent perovskite solar cells (ST-PSCs

“We aim to understand how the material properties influence the performance of these electrodes — including their conductivity, transparency, and durability,” said Professor Wang.

The project is expected to accelerate the development of high-performance ST-PSCs for real-world applications such as building-integrated photovoltaics, strengthening Australia’s position in solar energy innovation.
